Working with Process Platform App

This topic presents an overview of working with Process Platform App.

Process Platform App is a Mobile App (native container) developed by Process Platform to facilitate the following:

  • Provide access to all the mobile applications developed using the Process Platform HTML5 SDK
  • Enable access to the native functions of the mobile device by acting as a native container to any Web page designed using the Process Platform HTML5 SDK

Currently, this app is supported only for the Android and iOS devices and is available in the Google play and iTunes respectively.

The support will be extended for the other mobile devices shortly.

Features

  • Manage connections to the various Process Platform Instances
You can register various Process Platform Instances. This is a one-time configuration that enables you to connect to the respective Process Platform Instances for accessing the mobile applications. You can also edit or delete the details of the registered Process Platform Instances.
  • Mobile Inbox:
When you connect to the Process Platform Instance, it takes you to the respective landing page which shows the Mobile Inbox and Apps. This Inbox is offered by the Process Platform HTML5 SDK and brings in some of the basic features of the Process Platform Inbox. It lists all the tasks that are sent directly to you, to your work lists, to the roles you are associated with, and to the teams you belong. This Inbox can be extended and customized. For more information on the Inbox , refer Working with the Mobile Landing Page .
  • Access to native functions:
Process Platform App provides access to the native features of the device, such as camera, local file system, and notifications. These features are developed using the Process Platform Mobile Plug-in.
